A new one-of-a-kind bronze sculpture by Greg Kelsey will grace The Legacy Saloon at the National Western Stock Show's new headquarters!

As a long-time Colorado resident and life-time connoisseur of Coors beer, Greg Kelsey was honored to accept this project.  Kelsey was selected for his ability to capture the raw energy, humor and humanity of the American West.  With a style that is both fearless and refined, Greg's work challenges convention while honoring tradition.  Kelsey was tasked with creating a bronze sculpture of Pete Coors to honor Pete's commitment to the future of the National Western Stock Show.  Greg chose the life-size scale, design and gesture, capturing Pete's true presence.  From a Coors banquet in Pete's right hand to small details like the National Western logo on the jacket and an "Honoring the Legacy" campaign belt buckle, Kelsey brought Pete to life in bronze.

The sculpture will reside in Pete's favorite spot in the new National Western Center: The Legacy Saloon.  Be sure to check it out and take a photo while enjoying a Coors banquet with Pete the next time you are at the Stock Show in Denver.  Join us in congratulating Greg and saluting our Western heritage and the National Western as they step into the future at the new National Western Center.
