Much  of "Otro Hombre" was sculpted down in Palluche Canyon off Largo Canyon, just south out of Blanco, New Mexico. Largo Ranch of Gosney Ranches, owned by Greg's friend Don Gosney is an exquisite place, rich in history and substance.  The ranch house and pens are located in Palluche Canyon.  On more than one occasion this spring and early summer Greg was able to enjoy some research and field study trips, as he headed out with horses and sculpture to help Don's crew gather, brand, process and ship their cows and calves off their winter range in Largo to the mountain leases above Bayfield, Colorado for the summer.

Greg packed his work-in-progress along with him, to enjoy sculpting in the solitude of the canyon when moments presented themselves.  The old ranch house now sports the Palluche Bar.  It is the official after work or 'during the rain' hangout for all the hands.  "Otro Hombre" found his humble beginnings during the rain in the Palluche Bar.  The rugged canyon country with it's sandstone and sage, gave birth to the title and feel for this bull.  He is that loner, the other bull.
